TRAUMATIC PERICARDITIS
Pericardial
injury due to accidental swallowing of sharp metal objects.
Etiology-
- swallowing of sharp metallic objects.
Symptoms-
- Prominent jugular vein
- Recurrent tympany
- Arc shaped spinal cord
- Hyperthermia
- Anorexia
- Stands in head down position
- Elbows become wide
Diagnosis –
- By signs and symptoms
- Recurrent tympany
Treatment –
- Rumenotomy
- Broad spectrum antibiotics along with analgesics and b-complex
- Use of cortisone
