Sudden blood loss

Etiology-

• Excessive bleeding through wound (surgical or traumatic)
• Dehydration
• Allergic shock
• Burn
• Fear

Symptoms -

• Hypothermia
• Tachycardia
• Whitish mucus membrane
• Condition of coma

Diagnosis –

• by signs and symptoms or by history of bleeding through wound

Treatment–

•  Give dextrose intravenously
• Use broad spectrum antibiotics along with analgesics and multivitamins
• Use cortisone inj.
• Provide warm environment to the animal
• Blood therapy in hypovolemic conditions
