Ring Worm

 

Ring worm/Dermatophytosis

Contagious skin disease of all type of animals.

Etiology-

Trichophyton and Microsporum are causative agent for this disease. Mostly occurs in moist environment.

Symptoms-

• 1-3cm sized round and red colored spots on the body with tiny rashes
• Itching occurs in those spots
• Animal rubs his body against wall or any other objects

Diagnose:

-        By signs and symptoms

Treatment:

• Use antifungal and antiseptic ointment on affected area 3-4 time a day for 7-10days
• Use of ketacanazole tablets for about 10 days
