If any animal does not conceive after three or more consecutive AI. Then this is called Repeat breeding.

Etiology -

  • Anatomical deformity of the reproductive tract.
  • Undeveloped reproductive tract.
  • Mineral deficiency.
  • Delay in ovulation.
  • Presence of follicular cyst on ovary.
  • Infection of reproductive tract.
Treatment - 
  • If there is anatomical deformity of the reproductive tract then there is no solution for that.
  • If the reproductive tract in undeveloped then giving a proper balanced diet along with a good quality of mineral mixture can fix it.
  • If there is mineral deficiency, a good quality of mineral mixture can resolve it.
  • If animal repeats due to delayed ovulation. Then administer Buserelin Acetate Injection along with AI. 
  • Buserelin Acetate can resolve follicular cyst.
  • If there is any infection is seen in reproductive tract. It can be resolved with a proper treatment. Protocol for this treatment has intrauterine antibiotics for three to 4 days, anti-inflammatory drugs for three to four days, good quality of mineral mixture for at least 20 days. After intrauterine therapy AI can be done after 20 days. (Note: After this treatment repeat AI after every 12 hrs. for better results. By this protocol Conception Rate can be increase by 90% or above)
