Degnala/Gangrene
Mostly
occurs in buffaloes. But may be in cow, goat, sheep.
Etiology-
A fungus
called “Fuserium” is causative agent
Symptoms-
- Inflammation and wounds occurs on limbs
- Hair fall can be seen on tail
- Tail start to dry
- Cracking can be seen of hooves, tail and on ears
- Animal becomes weaker with time
- May cause death
Treatment-
- Use antifungal or antiseptic lotions topically on affected area
- Use of antifungal drugs orally or parentally
- Use Multivitamin injections
- Give good quality mineral mixtures
- Avoid moist feed
