Degnala/Gangrene

Mostly occurs in buffaloes. But may be in cow, goat, sheep.

Etiology-

A fungus called “Fuserium” is causative agent

Symptoms-

• Inflammation and wounds occurs on limbs
• Hair fall can be seen on tail
• Tail start to dry
• Cracking can be seen of hooves, tail and on ears
• Animal becomes weaker with time
• May cause death

Treatment-

• Use antifungal or antiseptic lotions topically on affected area
• Use of antifungal drugs orally or parentally
• Use Multivitamin injections
• Give good quality mineral mixtures
• Avoid moist feed
